TITLE: STAFF FOR CAREER FAIR SET UP
POSITION SUMMARY:
Bellingham High School is seeking 2 motivated and organized faculty to assist with the planning and setup of the upcoming Career Fair. This stipend position offers teachers the opportunity to contribute to an essential event that helps connect students with real-world career opportunities. Teachers will collaborate with school staff, local businesses, and industry professionals to ensure a successful Career Fair that will provide valuable career exploration and networking opportunities for Bellingham students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Career Fair Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and organization of the Career Fair event, ensuring all necessary resources and logistics are in place. ? Set Up and Event Logistics: Participate in the physical setup of the Career Fair, including arranging booths, displays, and ensuring all necessary materials (e.g., student registration, promotional materials) are available. ? Vendor and Partner Coordination: Help coordinate with external vendors, business partners, and industry representatives, ensuring that all parties have the appropriate materials and space for their exhibits. ? Adhere to School Policies: Follow all Bellingham School Committee policies and procedures in relation to event planning, student safety, and event execution.
SKILLS/ABILITY:
? Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. ? Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, community members, and industry representatives. ? Problem-solving skills and adaptability to address logistical or event-related challenges. ? Ability to engage students and encourage active participation in career exploration. ? Flexibility to work outside of regular school hours as needed for event setup and planning.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and/or DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
? Current teacher at Bellingham High School. ? Experience in event planning or school counseling is a plus but not required.
? Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Committee may find appropriate and acceptable.
SALARY: $33.00 per hour (max four hours), funded by the FY25 FC419 IP Grant, subject to grant funding
