TITLE: TEACHERS TO ATTEND AFTER-SCHOOL CAREER PATHWAYS COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE MEETINGS
POSITION SUMMARY:
Bellingham High School is seeking 3 enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the After-School Career Pathways Community of Practice Committee. This stipend position offers a unique opportunity to engage in collaborative, after-school meetings focused on the DESE Innovation Pathways Program, which provides students with career-oriented educational experiences aligned with real-world opportunities in high-demand industries. Committee members will work closely with educators, industry partners, and community stakeholders to enhance and support the development of career pathways and post-graduation success for Bellingham students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participation in Community of Practice Meetings: Actively attend and contribute to after-school meetings focused on the DESE Innovation Pathways Program, where key topics such as career exploration, internships, industry partnerships, and curriculum development will be discussed.
- Collaboration with Educators and Industry Leaders: Work alongside teachers, administrators, local business leaders, and community organizations to align career pathway opportunities with the needs of students.
- Program Planning and Support: Provide input on the structure and content of career-focused learning opportunities, ensuring they reflect industry trends and support students' long-term career goals.
- Tracking and Reporting: Collaborate with school leadership to monitor the progress of students involved in career pathways and provide input for reporting to DESE and other stakeholders.
- Promote the Innovation Pathways Program: Advocate for the program within the school community and beyond, promoting its benefits and raising awareness about opportunities for student involvement
- Adheres to the adopted policies and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee.
SKILLS/ABILITY:
- Experience in program evaluation procedures.
- Ability to get along with one’s colleagues, the public, as well as the ability to interact with all age levels.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and/or DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current teacher at Bellingham High School
SALARY: $33 per hour for 3 hour long events, funded by the FY25 FC419 IP Grant, subject to grant funding - Stipend is based on hours of completed committee work
