TITLE: TITLE I MATHEMATICS TUTORS - STALL BROOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

One-Year Only Positions
FUNCTION:
To provide small group, in-class and out-of-class instruction in Mathematics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess, document, and instruct students according to diagnosed needs in Mathematics
2. Instruct students in Mathematics content, strategies, and skills
3. Document student progress toward improving their MCAS performance
4. Administer Mathematic assessments
5. Attend Title I staff meetings and Title I parent meetings/workshops as necessary
6. Responsible for creating progress reports, student assessments, maintaining student data, and assisting the Title I Mathematics Lead Teacher as needed
7. Evaluate and suggest appropriate materials/programs/apps needed for the Title I schoolwide program
8. Incorporate available technology in tutoring sessions and be responsible for the upkeep and safety of the available technology
9. Adheres to the policies of the Bellingham School Committee
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience teaching Mathematics at the K-6 level in accordance with the MA Curriculum Frameworks preferred
2. Understanding of or experience using rubrics and standards-based units of instruction preferred
3. Completed at least two years of study at an institute of higher education, obtained at least an associates degree, or meet a rigourous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instruction in math or math readiness.
SALARY: $30 per hour (part-time, subject to grant funding, total hours TBD)
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Title I Lead Mathematics Teacher

DiPietro Elementary (Preschool – Grade 3), Stall Brook Elementary (Preschool – Grade 3) Bellingham Memorial School (grades 4-7) and Bellingham High School (grades 8-12), and Keough Memorial Academy (grades 7-12) is our therapeutic day school for students with special needs.
